With a duration of about 30 minutes uphill, the trail leading to the Urca Hill is classified as light to moderate intensity and offers an immersive nature experience for the whole family. Once you reach the Parque Bondinho, you also have the option to complete the tour to Sugarloaf Mountain by cable car with a special ticket.

Presentation of the official identity card, with photo (or certified copy), accompanied by a Special Card, RioCard, Vale Social, Federal Pass, CRAS or medical report (original or certified copy) issued by a public health agency. The discount is limited to 1 companion per PWD.

  • Teachers and teaching professionals - municipal public network of Rio de Janeiro, according to municipal law no. 3.424/02, of Rio de Janeiro

Subimission of the official identity card, with photo (or certified copy) and Functional Card issued by the Municipal Department of Education or paycheck indentifying the employer or school and position he/she holds.

  • Professional of the municipal cleaning company (Comlurb), of the municipality of Rio de Janeiro, according to municipal law nº 8.251/2024, of Rio de Janeiro.

Presentation of official identification document with photo (or certified copy) and Functional Card or Badge issued by the official body.

How to Get Here

We are located at Av Pasteur, 520Urca, Rio de Janeiro.

Metro

  • Get off at Botafogo station, exit E - Mena Barreto. Walk to the 513 bus terminal on Rua Voluntários da Pátria and get off at UNIRIO. From there, walk 260m to the Cable Car Park.

Bus

The main routes to reach the Cable Car Park are:

  • 107 – Central – Urca (Brs1 – via Flamengo Beach)
  • 513SP – Urca – Botafogo Metro (Via Rio Sul – Metro connection)
  • 167 - Terminal Gentileza - Urca (Circular - Via Flamengo Beach)

Car

The Cable Car Park does not have public parking, but we've selected some nearby parking options for you:

  • Shopping Rio Sul – Rua Lauro Muller, 116 – Botafogo
  • Botafogo Praia Shopping - Praia de Botafogo, 400 - Botafogo
  • Shopping Casa & Gourmet – Rua Gen. Severiano, 97 – Botafogo

Bicycle

The Cable Car Park does not have a bike rack. However, you can leave your bicycle near the newsstand in front of the Árabe da Urca restaurant, very close to the Cable Car Park. Bring your lock. On Av. Pasteur, there's also a Bike Itaú station available a bit earlier.

Ferry

Visitors from Niterói, Ilha do Governador, and Paquetá can take the ferry that stops at Praça XV. From there, walk to Largo da Carioca (740m), or take VLT Line 2 to Cristiano Ottoni - Pequena África station, and take bus 107 (Central). Get off at UNIRIO and walk to the Cable Car Park.

Rescheduling and Cancellation Rules

Customers can cancel and/or reschedule through the logged-in area of parquebondinho.com.br, under "My Reservations".

If rescheduling is necessary, visitors can do so once free of charge up until the tour start time, subject to availability for the desired new date and time.

Rescheduling or cancellation will not be possible if requested after the boarding or event date and time.

Please note these conditions:

  • Only the user who made the purchase can request to reschedule the order.
  • According to Article 49 of the Consumer Protection Code, cancellation requests can be made within 7 (seven) calendar days for purchases made outside the Sugarloaf Cable Car Park® premises. In this case, full refund is guaranteed in the same payment method used.
  • For cancellations of Tickets/Products/Packages/Experiences made between 24 (twenty-four) hours and the Event/Boarding start time shown on the Ticket/Product/Package/Experience, a 20% (twenty percent) retention fee will be applied to the amount paid.
  • Cancellation requests made after the tour start time will not be refunded.

Access Rules

NOT ALLOWED:

  • Filming or photographing for commercial purposes without prior company authorization.
  • Carrying or using Drones.
  • Accessing with large items (e.g.: tripod, musical instruments, sun umbrella, beach chair, cooler/styrofoam box, bulky costumes, luggage or equipment larger than 25 x 35 x 55 cm).
  • For visitor safety, glass bottles, cups, or any other type of glass container are not allowed in the Park.
  • Access with coolers and/or ice bags.
  • Entering or remaining shirtless, in swimwear, or barefoot.
  • Entering with skateboards, scooters, roller skates, or shoes with built-in wheels, bicycles, or similar items.
  • Entering with balls, balloons, or inflatable items.
  • Children or adolescents under 16 (sixteen) years old accessing or remaining in the park unaccompanied by parents or adult guardians.
  • Planting or removing flora species.
  • Engaging in any type of environmental vandalism.
  • Feeding, approaching, or hunting animals.
  • Carrying firearms, ammunition, self-defense devices (pepper spray, shock weapons), sharp or pointed objects.
  • Accessing with flammable or explosive objects or liquids.
  • Loud sounds, using horns, whistles, large megaphones or artificial noise-making devices, as well as playing musical instruments.
  • Conducting various demonstrations.
  • Accessing with animals, except guide dogs and/or emotional support dogs with supporting documentation.
  • Using park bathrooms for showering.
  • Accessing while wearing helmets or coverings that conceal the face - LAW 6717/14.
  • Selling any type of product or service without prior company authorization.
  • Engaging in any form of crime advocacy.
